"Barefoot, a breeze of sea air brushing past my face, I could see the reflection of the sea behind me in his sunglasses, there was a sparkling glint like trillions of diamonds and therein I could too see myself. The Minister had just arrived and there in front of me was everyone I know and love. I wonder at this moment if I can hold on to this time and keep it with me forever. The perfect setting, a sun soaked beach, glistening waters with small white horses, like unicorns surfing the waves in my honour, I am ready. We walk together down the man made aisle, the sand smoothly caressing our feet and there under a blue African sky we call upon God to acknowledge our love." As I was jogging along the beach last night I found this, the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony. Running around looking for chapels, I wonder of the need for chairs and man made things when all we need is love, nature and the presence of God...I think I will leave the formality for later and choose a affordable choice in the most perfect place in the world. Whether it is the Garden Route and Cape Town with their pristine white beaches, Durban at Umhlanga or Ballito or somewhere along the coastlines of our beautiful country, there is so much to offer.
